The Fly board was created because it was inspired by the workings of a jet engine. The flyboard is connected to a special personal water craft (PWC) hose or jet ski. The jet ski will pump water into the hose. This hose is used to deliver high pressure water to the boards at the feet of the wearer. The water will come out at high speed in the advanced device that is used on the player's feet.

With the flow of high-pressure water that comes out of the Flyboard, it creates a very strong thrust.
